There Guadeloupe is prey to a cost of living high, a situation which arouses indignation and the mobilization of trade unionists of theUGTG. During their back-to-school conference, they expressed their desire not to limit themselves to a fight against the high cost of living, but to attack the roots of system which benefits the few, known as pwofitasyon. There general secretary of the union, Maïté Hubert M’Toumo, calls on Guadeloupeans to unite to defend their rights and develop a demands platform which encompasses issues such as health, education and the environment. Faced with a social crisis growing, the UGTG advocates real citizen mobilization for a more just and equitable future in Guadeloupe.
